Activities for the Day

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the send-off reception in Blackhawk. Festivities for the day are as follows:

For the active and those wanting to do a pre-reception burn-off of calories Sunday morning, you can join the bride-to-be and some others at the Andronico’s Devil Mountain Run in Danville. This is a 5K / 10K run or walk benefiting the Children’s Hospital and Research Center at Oakland. The race start time is 8am and you can access more information here. At the time of this going to press, the bride-to-be has not decided if she will do the 5K or 10K or run or walk, but she will be there.

For those who realize that the bride-to-be and others are a little crazy and sleeping in on a Sunday is more important, you can show up at the reception and just have fun.

The reception will start at 11am as follows:

The day will be filled with music provided by the Kent Strand Trio. The trio, consisting of pianist Kent Strand with string bass and drums, performs contemporary and Latin jazz with swinging classic standards.
